Body Composition
Before beginning a health journey it is helpful to have some “baseline” information.
The full body composition provides an insight into what your “weight” actually consists of. Stepping onto the scales doesn’t give us the full picture and far too many people are hung up on the number that they see – and on weighing themselves every day or every week. Our bodies fluctuate daily, and the reality is that it takes time to experience real, effective changes. Working from a baseline gives you the opportunity to check back in after a nutritional and fitness program to really see where those changes have taken place within the body; fat loss, muscle gain, bone density etc…
Functional Movement Screen (FMS):
Before embarking on a fitness program, or during recovery from injury, it is important to look at the basic human movements such as squatting, lungeing, hingeing, flexibility etc to pinpoint any areas that may require further attention or referral to a specialist. Starting any fitness program without paying attention to potential problems in body mechanics can result in injuries and will not have the desired outcome if your body is unable to perform certain movements. The FMS is an effective way of determining whether you have any pre-existing issues with your movement patterns.
Fitness Assessment & Flexibility Test:
Before any training sessions take place it is helpful to determine where a client’s current fitness level is at and how much mobility and flexibility they have. This allows for a more comprehensive program of sessions, which are then aimed at improving those areas that require attention. This test takes one hour.
Discover your baseline settings, from which Gut Feeling can help tailor a plan to implement change and improvement.
